They sold in November. They could very well not have known that there would be a delay. Proving that they did know will be very difficult (to the point of pointless to even try), I expect. In addition, all the press releases seem to imply that IOM missed earnings because of the delays. It seems to me that analysts never factored in any revenue from Jaz2 or Buz, and the real reason the analysts missed was due to unexpectedly lower tie ratios.

Also, everyone knew IOM was increasing advertising in November. The full extent wasn't known, but the trend was clear.

Rocky: <<-the ol' Pump n' Dump>> I had to laugh at that one, but you're exactly right, not to mention, did the management know that the quarter was going badly at the time they dumped? These issues will be addressed ad nauseam in depositions and written discovery. If anyone here wants to pull their head out of their _____, they may want to look at some of that stuff when it comes out and judge the bona fides of the claims then, rather than now.

"I venture to guess that the problem arises that Iomega management chose to sell a great number of their personal shares at a time when the price was high and they certainly knew they would not deliver Jaz2 and Buz at the advertised times. This is the basis of the lawsuits."

I certainly am the last one that will stick up for an mighty corporation. I believe business lies, cheats, steals, screws the consumer, you name it. They do it in the name of "business". So I guess that makes it ok (plus they can beat it in court). In this situation, unfortunately I believe KE had a bout with bad luck concerning his insider sales (or good luck :)... Maybe I am wrong, but I don't think the personal wealth means to much to him at this point. When you have it all what does a little bit more mean? Nothing.

And the biggest victim of this "Pump n' Dump" scheme was probably one of their own directors who purchased about 40,000 shares at $28 late last year.

Rocky, why do you feel that a strategy of "buy low, sell high" is a bad strategy?
