Richnorth, I read that in Funk & Wagnalls also, but IMHO the definition of FIAT by itself gives a much clearer meaning of the reality of this bloody situaton. IMHO the definition of FIAT MONEY waters down the cold hard facts here. The world seems to be under spell - bidding up the S&P to new heights even under the threat of a middle east war - I think it's time to shed light on this situation and not mince words.
