Alex and all,

ROFLOL at your fish story. Here's mine:

When I worked in the ER, it seemed that every few months we'd get a patient who had been stung by a particular species of poisonous fish (I forget its name) in their home aquariums. These patients always had quite plausible but still utterly stupid reasons for how their hands met with the fish's stingers.

One day, after the umpteenth such incident, we sat about compiling a list of the top five reasons proffered by the hapless patients for these injuries. The number one reason was, "Well, my husband/wife/SO/relative/roomate/other person usually feeds the fish." The number five reason was, "The fish is a beloved pet, I never dreamed it would sting me!" I'll try to dig up the other three top reasons and post them.
