Dell's EPS raised by Southwest securities.

RESEARCH ALERT - Dell EPS views raised
NEW YORK, Feb 20 (Reuters) - Southwest Securities said it reiterated its buy rating on Dell Computer Corp and raised its earnings estimates for 1999 and 2000.
-- The fiscal 1999 estimate went to $3.83 per share from $3.74, and the 2000 estimate went to $4.89 from $4.59.

-- Dell's fourth-quarter results exceeded Southwest's expectations.

-- The company exhibited robust growth across all regions, product categories and customer segments.

-- Dell exhibits impressive cost control and attractive operating margins.

-- The outlook is favorable as competition heats up, with Dell remaining the dominant direct-market force.

-- The six-to-12 month target price was increased to $140 (before the two-for-one stock split).
