I live in Utah. tax is 20 cents less that WA. Octane is 85 which is 20 cents less that regular 87 octane in WA.

The lowest it ever got here was 1.80 for 85 octane when oil went negative. It was under $2.00 for maybe two weeks. Then it was above $2.00 again.

Falling under $2.00 is what caused the price spike. As what caused under $2.00 was oil production cratering when oil went negative. The inflation spike was the reaction to that pandemic induced supply destruction.

Had nothing to do with Trump or Biden.
