Sorry, haven't heard any news on airlines. Here's a thought. The airlines can do OK regardless of oil prices. However, for them to do really well, oil prices must be very low. Fuel is an enormous component of their costs. And they have been doing really well. Therefore, because of low oil prices, it would be unlikely to see any of the energy sector's doing very well at the same time as the airlines. Am I right? Maybe some long term P&F sector charts could tell us. If I am right, todays drop in the airlines could be the big money guys thinking oil has bottomed out. Which leads me to the drillers & oil service company's. If oil has bottomed, then so have the drillers. The drillers go up, and the airlines go down. Cool. Was this clear? Hope so. Brain's going faster than fingers.

Or I could be way wrong. Airlines might be down because we are pulling the families of our diplomats out of Israel and Kuwait. Scary, looks like war. Hope not. People get a little cranky flying around the world during a war.

Better yet, I just heard that DLJ said bad stuff about the airlines this morning. Don't have access to it. Anybody else.
