Bill, you were inaccurate with the date, which is what confused me, so I had to go back to October 18:

Harris vs. Trump: the Inflation Record (WSJ)

They get a lot of things right, but they don't have any explanation for why inflation has come back down to 2.4%. This is the case even though "Build Back Brandon" is still in effect, along with the "Inflation Refusal Act."

They also acknowledge that a lot of spending that led to inflation was approved in 2020 under Trump, but then they still attribute most if not all of inflation to Democrat policies.

Moreover, they called that 2020 spending bill a "bipartisan mistake," which is bizarre. Does the WSJ editorial board not remember how bad things were in 2020?

Sure, things started clearing up in 2021, and sure, the Democrats used that opportunity to pass huge-ass spending bills knowing that they could get away with it under the cover of a "crisis." As Rahm Emanuel once said, "Never let a serious crisis go to waste."

But like I said, inflation seems to be going back to "normal" despite all of the Democrats spending like drunk-ass sailors.

One more thing. The editorial, of course, claims that Trump is more likely to return us to the era of 2017-2019, but they want to absolve Trump of any responsibility regarding the policies that were put in place in 2020.
