FWIW, here are several stocks I bought after sharp drops, and where I expected a recovery, but that hasn't happened in past nine months or longer of holding the stock. I've incurred losses in these as the stocks continue to languish or fell further.

QRTEP. (have traded some shares)
QRTEA. (sold high-cost shares; buying some shares back recently)
BFB (Brown-Forman). (holding all shares bought)
UGI. (holding all shares bought. Small position.)
UPS. (Took loss. Sold down to tracking position.)
