I suppose the real question is when you sincerely believe you are crafting an alternate reality through sheer force of will, is it lying? I mean, sincerely believing things can legally give things a scientific standing, so why doesn't the same legal principle apply here? And, if enough people vote to agree, it becomes the consensual reality.
