Charles, I do like that approach, and if the truth be known, I bought IBM in the early 1960's and have held all of my position until last year, when I sold about half to get into Dell and CA. (Pretty smart in retrospect <VBG>) I'm still in Dell, but exited CA a couple of weeks ago because it was not clear to me where their growth engine was. CA was to me one of the rare value plays. I sold some (not all) IBM because I had become increasingly concerned about lack of substantial growth in sales.

I've also owned T since the 60's (along with its various spin-offs which included such dogs as LU and AIT) and TYC since the early 80's, so you're preaching to the choir!

If I sounded like I was giving the Oracle a hard time it was totally unintentional. In fact, I believe I use his techniques to great effect in tech stocks. I just believe that in this arena, particularly with emerging technologies, you have to be a bit more nimble!

Regards,

Paul
