I'm not going to argue the bankruptcy process with you. But the Chapter 11 process decides who gets paid what based on various legal factors. In Trump's case, he laid every nickel he had on the table and the courts decided, in cooperation with creditors, who got what.

Trump was the general partner, and as such it was his responsibility, NOT TO MAKE EVERYONE WHOLE, BUT TO GIVE UP EVERYTHING HE HAD IN THE PROCESS. Which he did. Trump famously, at that time, was on TV walking up to Trump Tower and pointed out to a young Ivanka, "That guy over there sleeping on the sidewalk is richer than I am."

In the United States, that is all we ask of anyone. We don't have fucking debtor's prisons, you nitwit.
