The problem for humanity is the rapid change the planet is undergoing right now in climate, weather events. Temps are rising and drought, flood, heavy rain events are happening increasingly worldwide now. This is not good for the very narrow window that we grow crops in. Food production is beginning to drop. We can't evolve crops fast enough to meet the increased harsher environment. Things are gonna get very interesting very fast now I'm afraid.
