A recipe I eat a lot, is a bowl of rice, with smoked salmon, an avocado, some cucumber, soy sauce and wasabi.

It is Waterfront Bistro Wild Alaska sockeye salmon. Safeway and Albertsons sells it.

Sockeye is the best species to smoke as it is the fattest and best tasting.

It is from Germany, but you can probably find other good smoked salmon.

It is really tasty.

Also try canned salmon, but get the :Sockeye", Red salmon.

I really like it right out of the can, and eat it in winter when I can't get fresh.

But it is good with mayo, and relish .

It can be hard to find, and is more expensive. Most places only sell pink salmon which I don't like.

In Alaska no one eats pink salmon. Humpies we call them.

They are crab bait-lol.

It is a soft fish and not very tasty.
