Satyr,
I got the first buy confirmation, then I sold it and got the first sale confirmation, then I bought it again and right afterwards I got the bad/reversed trade messages for those first in and out transactions. So, there I was with an order in for x shares of xyz and confusion all around. Hind sight is 20/20, but, I did not cancel the second buy order. The plain truth is that I was dumb enough to assume that E*Trade---yes I am a slow learner---would, in light of the transaction records, reverse the previous trades and the new buy order. However, my faith was soon destroyed because the transaction records were not good enough for E*Trade. I have learned the hard way that they will never admit to a mistake so long as they stand to lose on the transaction. I can go on and on about this lousy Company. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Yes I am in the process of transfering my 3 accounts to another broker. I think that I will post this message on the E*Trade thread as well.
