The fact is, industry has to happen somewhere. That is the point.

So the USA or UK "reducing carbon footprint" is bs unless all the imported goods are considered.

The problem for China is that they way, way overbuilt coal fired generation capacity.

All you have to do is look at the average power output over time vs ultimate nameplate capacity.

Reminds me of all of their newly built "empty cities" with no one in many of them.

Oops,

central planning run amuck.

China will save a fortune with their circular economy building RE in their country.

Eventually no more imports of expensive foreign fossil fuels...

Plus greatly reduced pollution!
