It was never my understanding that the vaccine would provide immunity......just reduce greatly the affect on me if I caught it ....which I did twice after getting the vaccine and it was like a mild cold......so to me it did what I expected. The main difference between vaccination and immunization is that vaccination is the act of receiving a vaccine, while immunization is the process of receiving a vaccine and developing immunity to the disease:
