The reality IMHO,is this. Intel plans generations ahead, partners with all the industry heavyweights, has been investing in technologies and partnering with companies that expand the capabilities of their processors, and they tie it all together to make it work for the consumer and the share holder. And yes, there is a lot of old iron out there that will eventually be replaced. My other half is an accountant with big blue and her terminal is a 386. (although they did give her a snazzy new thinkpad) I walked into a mortgage company office I do appraisal work for and there were 50 Dell systems sitting there being installed. Corporate buying is paying the bills and by competing on the low end they are giving entry level people the best computing they have ever had for their dollar. Those who hang their hat on the shortcomings of the Covington are really nit picking. Intel is a cash cow, it can graze on my investment dollars all it wants cause in the end I wont be asking where's the beef.

Kurlack and Fleckentwit,,,,glad I dont listen to them!!!! And they will never learn. Joe K coulda given the guy a bottle of club soda this morning to wash down the crow he was eating,,,LOL

Mohan - Re: " you and Fleckenstein can go 'fleck' yourselves for all I care, you with me on this???

Both of these guys "flecked up" big time - they both shorted Intel then saw Intel run way up.

Fleck #1 started his shorts about 2 or more years ago - so he is down some serious money. He was tap dancing real fast this morning on CNBC looking to make himself appear smart with a pyrrhic victory, despite a huge financial loss - he was wrong on Intel for all the "right" reasons.

Fleck #2 is short at $69, $74, $79 $81 $84 and $94. One out of six "ain't bad" for Fleck #2.
