I think it's already been established that a a ZIP disk only costs around $1 to produce... If IOMEGA needs to lower the price to keep SONY off it's turf they will... The lower margins won't hurt as much as letting Sony get a toe hold in the market...

Speaking of this, does anyone have any speculation why Iomega dropped plans for a 25MB Zip disk? I think they probably dropped it because it would cost them about the same to make but would have to be priced less than half that of a Zip 100MB disk.
