Education will pull the poor out of poverty and fight crime better than any other remedy. I am trying to help more people get an education to: 1) engage them in a life of self actualization; and 2) give them the tools to fight their way out of poverty. The more education, the more money one makes, the easier it is to fight for justice, and the easier life they have in general, and it is a perfect correlation. My intention is to help the proletariat get educated, so they do not have to be the slaves of the aristocracy. Education is the great equalizer and the only way the proletariat can check those who would bend them to their will. The aristocracy is educating all of their kids (because they can afford to and understand it facilitates their power); and if the proletariat do not educate their kids, their kids will end up serving the rich kids. And as college gets more expensive we see the inequality worsen. Not to mention how we are returning to a hierarchical society with the rich on top and everyone else below, which I abhor. All are equal, but the elitists like the Mittster and the neo cons do not want a society like that. They want to rule the masses following Rand. And they have been winning. Only a strong public educational system will afford a nation of equal people. And recognizing that most people can achieve and benefit from a college education, if given a chance, which starts with more head start programs and is facilitated by a fully funded public education system all the way to a PHD level.
