Resistance to DEI Among Workers Grows The root cause of corporate adoption is moral suasion by the government and government contracts which mandates this stuff. Regulators come in and check for these programs even though it is not part of their mission. It has been going on for decades. EEOC has been poking their head inside businesses since late 70's. Obama weaponized all the agencies. When I was retiring, I had minority and female employees come to me and tell me they didn't think the DEI stuff was fair. That was 2011. It was obvious for a long time but the bull shit meter went off the charts thje last 4 years.
