Thinking can ruin the whole show, just buy them. On Mar 7
you have 200 shares, a year from now you will probably have 400
shares.
Trading in Dell stock can cost a fortune, and I know enough
to never sell Dell , right Kemble???
Well a short time back I sold 100 shares at $95 so I could take a vacation. So to replace them I bought 4 Feb calls. So it was only
by the sheerest luck that I am not sitting here weeping over losing those shares, and am still stuck with buying them back
in spite of making money on the deal overall.
Next time I want to buy calls, I will sell some other stock
to get them.

****** Off Topic ******

re enough i thought this was a dell forum not chat room... what does anyone think about dells recent runup, as far as purchasing 100 shares to hold for at least 1 year?

Lighten up, Eddy. I grant you that there have been above average number of 'frivolous' postings recently. However, this is your first post on the DELL thread, and you gripe us out for having fun after the week we've had. And on a weekend, no less. So lighten up, already. If you were serious about your question, you need to do some 'due diligence'. Recommend you read the thread from about last July. Your question has been answered numerous times, including several times in the past week. You will learn a lot you should know about the stock, the posters, as well as the flavor of the thread. Without doing that, you have no idea how to evaluate any advice you get, because you don't know the poster.

PS. In answer: buy.
