Bluesky offers the Lists function, which made Twitter usable for me. You will also find "starter packs" where people have made lists of users in certain topical categories; if you click on the pack, you see the entire list and can follow them one by one (maybe all at once, not sure about that). I effectively recreated my Twitter world (minus some sports reporters) but now see very few nasty crazies. They get zapped when I do.
