hello, surprise surprise, i started this thread awhile ago
and finally you people are showing up, welcome, originally
i forgot to put the ticker symbol in the thread so it was
difficult to find unless you put in the henley group inc.
on a subject search, i finally had si embed the ticker
on the page so now its easily accessible. I was reading
some of the posts tonight and am happy that people are finally
catching on to hnly, i might add that the information i
used to compose the thread description was taken from an older
business summary of hnly, thats why the float was of
old reference, float is around 2.9 mil. I spoke with ceo
last week before most of the ho hum started to get a feel
for what the current status is, being that i was invested
for awhile and hitting a 52wk low, and i can tell you he
informed me he fully expects the stock price to continue to climb from here
, he stated that with their current growth rates and their
holdings stock should in
normal circumstances be trading well over a dollar already
and contributed the depressed price to
most of what has already been mentioned before on this thread some
shorting that had been done in the past year,
some of which has been removed. If you notice you will not
find market maker (spin) on this stock anymore, that group
was part
of the problem, when they left the stock in the last
month you could
see some serious spikes on the stock price as their illegal
shorting was uncovered and they got the heat from the
company via sec pressure. There is still yet a few
short positions to cover i imagine which is another positive
for the momentum that is now in place ,if not the catalyst.
Lol, im sure they gulped on friday at the volume coming
in. Ceo also mentioned
that press coverage had been slow in dissemination
however that has been changing very quickly judging by
the calls the company is getting from brokers and analysts, and prospective
investors and speculators.
He also added that several entities are now bullish and interested in buying
into hnly vigorously ,one of which is a mm, mhmy, which as
of this week has become very aggressive in accumulating inventory,He also mentioned
other brokers/mm's are now very positive on hnly. In regards
to their business, 98 is going to be the year that hnly comes
together in the eye of the public, that they are in a hot
industry with a good corporate structure in place that will
in addition be expanding very soon. I imagine as Feb and
March proceed you will see enough press from the company to
substantiate the above said. In addition i think i might have
mentioned this before, but earlier in the past months i believe
some investors were confused about the status of the
magra acquisition due to hnly's old press statement
titled "hnly acquires" which was followed up much later by further press titled
"soon to be acquired magra." On that first release
it was an unfortunate selection of words in the title but
if you read that actual body of the press release beyond
the title it clearly stated the acquisition was ongoing at the
time. Im sure that lost a few investors temporarily.
What that meant was that
they had acquired a majority stake 64% approx but that due
to disparities in US and Canadian tax law, dont ask i dont
know the specifics, the acquisition had
to be completed in two phases. Well to bring you up to date
it is completed and i imagine part of febuary's update by the
company will be mentioning that along with Magras numbers and
Hnly's financials.
I also understand that they have some european related activity
to announce that is going to add some more heavy weight to
hnly's portfolio. On a final side note if you need to research
magra i believe that you can find a little info
such as Magra's company number and stock quotes by
doing a internet search on magra and canadian quotes>
Magra is traded on the canadian dealer
network
market and is up around a buck. I also noticed that besides
the recent liscensee agreement on midsystem technology
out of the UK magra also has a distribution liscensee with warp 10
technologies, warpf, for their warp system accelerator.

sorry for grammar mistakes and superfulous info but thought
i would add what i know up to this date.

I also hope to visit hnly's headquarters in miami in the near
future on my way to check out the folks at road house grill
operations down in fort lauderdale, When i return ill post
any pertinent info i find, till then good luck and happy
hnly and congrats. Hopefully traders will be out of
stock eventually so this thing can resume a nice trend upward
but hey if they want to go ahead and push it quickly up to a buck
no problem here , the company deserves it.

>>Theres no doubt what has held it down for the past months has been the this million shares hanging over there head since the average volume is only ~50,000/day. <<

There is always doubt with BB stocks.

>>I notice the book value is listed at $2.28 a share also. Now if that is just anywhere NEAR correct, HNLY is grossly undervalued and would expect the share price to ascend to a value much nearer to $2.28.<<

This is the book value as suggested by the company. Any independent sources to verify. Remember, so far we have only the company's and the PR firms word for all this info.

>>ALSO, Notice the comment about early 1998 Nasdaq listing: My guess is this: HNLY expects (and righty so) to trade above their book value once they show some good numbers/start reporting/and basically show some future promise. With the much inproved share price they can meet the minimum bid requirements to get a full Nasdaq listing. <<

Perhaps, but a lot of companies make comments about getting a Nasdaq listing and nothing ever comes of it. Still, company does look interesting. But the hype on this board is pretty heavy.
