Mike: That purchase makes about as much sense as Nextel mgmt. borrowing money to invest in other companies, expecially when thier own company isn't complete yet.

There are alot of odd people in this world, myself included. I met this very wealthy old guy in Los Angeles. His company made titanium bolts and turned them into big bucks. This guy loved to buy companies that had equipment with wheels, tractors, drill rigs, etc. Yep, he had a wheel thing. He lost his ass on each and every investment, but his bolt company just kept plugging along and making big bucks. Sort of reminds me of McCaw, he has a communication thing, buys anything involving communication, including two cans and a string. Meanwhile his company floats, with very little support, while it raises money to be spent investing in McCaws folly, unrelated entities that contain the word communication in their description.

Tired and getting silly
