All, "OmniTRACS system extended its lead in long-haul trucking communications this year, despite a softening of the U.S. market. We signed more new OmniTRACS contracts in 1996 than any previous year, winning orders from both large and small fleets while expanding our relationships with many long-time customers. On average, we processed over four million messages and vehicle position reports each day through our Network Management Facility. We continued to promote the growth of the system internationally by licensing and investing in foreign operators. We shipped OmniTRACS network equipment to a new service provider in South Korea and saw especially strong sales to Canada, Europe and Brazil. DENSO, a Toyota affiliate, became the lead partner of the OmniTRACS business in Japan.
