Hi Pat -

Well...Saturday was beautiful, and Sunday has been very cloudy and windy.

It's supposed to rain again tonight.

As far as Diamond Lane, they're "nobodies" in my opinion, because I believe that they're rather "new" in this field. I would have thought that a more established player would be getting the business, rather than them.

Which, by way of stream-of-conciousness, leads me to ask:

Whatever happened to MOT's CopperGold?

Steve

Digging for diamonds.

Hola Pat,

Remember meeting George Hawley at the Robertson Stevenson tech conference and hearing him diss DMT? A few things have changed since then <g>. Well, its been exactly a year. BARS tech '98 begins tomorrow and MooCow and I are again planning on going to hang with the suits. I happened to also meet an Amati engineer at a party last night. He's working in the VDSL group and is very jazzed about the technology although he's not so crazy about getting his paychecks from TI. Anyway, hope all is well and stay dry!

Hey Pat,

Check out ISD on toronto (Intelligent Detection Systems). The IPO was a couple of months back at 4.75 Cdn and they were very disappointed (apparently the CEO figured that they should have gone out at about 10 - 12 CDN). They are expected to break even this year and earn .53 cents next year according to Yorkton Security.

>>The company, through its CPAD Technologies division, develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of high-speed chemical detection, measurement and analysis products which are based on patented technology. Such products, which include airport scanners, hand-held drug detectors and mail scanners are targeted currently at two principal markets, explosives detection and the drug interdiction equipment markets. The company's principal competitive advantage is the incorporation of a unique, patented application of gas chromatography/ion mobility spectrometry technology in the design and manufacture of its products.

For further information please contact Dr. Mariusz Rybak, Chief Executive Officer<<

Here is there web site.

Incidentally Yorkton has a $17.00 Cdn 12 month price target.

PS. I hope you did not get hurt by the CIEN disaster
