Eric, You seem to ignore how covid tossed a wrench right in the middle of his term and derailed everything. He stopped testing missiles and they established a personal relationship that he can use to build on during his next term. Talks happened in 2018 and continued until early 2019 before they were suspended. Everything returned back to the status quo. All that happened a year before the pandemic hit. 2018 North Korea–United States Singapore Summit - Aftermath (Wikipedia) Like I said, nothing resulted from said talks. I still remember when Bill Clinton and Kim Dae-Jung established warm relations with North Korea. They even coined the phrase "Sunshine Policy" before George W. Bush threw North Korea into the "Axis of Evil." Did Trump come even close to the bar set by the "Sunshine Policy"? Didn't think so. Tenchusatsu

Eric, Very narrow minded view of what's happening - he's giving his troops actual combat experience in preparation for war with the South. It's a meat grinder because they've not been battle tested in decades. I'm more afraid they'll learn something than get themselves killed. How many North Koreans do you think will live to tell the tale? North Korean army losses in Kursk Oblast exceed 3,000 people – Zelenskyy (Ukraine Pravda) Of course, we all need to take this report with a grain of salt, but combat footage on Telegram seems to confirm how useless the North Korean soldiers turned out to be. I'm sure you must have seen this news by now, Eric. But in case you haven't: Ukraine forces release diary of dead North Korean soldier; expose chilling details (Times of India) The diary also reveals deep loyalty to North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. Gyeong wrote of his past “betrayal” of the party and how the military gave him a second chance. His entries express a willingness to sacrifice his life for his homeland and leader. Several things are clear to me now: - The DPRK troops themselves are NOT gaining any experience whatsoever. Instead, they seem to be political prisoners who were sent to die in PooTin's war of choice. - If anyone is farming XP, it's the DPRK officers who were sent to watch their own soldiers die. - This particular cannon fodder didn't say exactly what his "crime" against the Party was. I bet he was caught watching some smuggled K-dramas or K-pop videos. - The diary entry was clearly coerced and meant to be "discovered" on his cold, dead body. One more post, Eric. Here's a screenshot of the dead DPRK soldier's "journal entry." (Never mind the fact that the journal entry is being held upside-down. I'm sure the guy who took the photo, just like anyone else who can't read Korean, couldn't tell the difference.) Death is not the end, but the beginning of Eternal Glory! Remember, warrior, remember: your true fear is not death, but shame before your country. To be captured means to betray your comrades, your family and your people. Only those who prefer honour to weakness will become an example for the next generation. Your death on the battlefield will become a symbol of courage and resilience. Shame lasts longer than life, but glory to heroes is eternal! Holding the grenade firmly I your hand, boldly remove the safety catch and place the grenade under your chin or under your body armour.
