DNAI to Offer DSL Through Both Covad and PacBell FYI

February 20, 1998 -- DNAI announces the addition of DSL service though Covad Communications. Available immediately, service through Covad will add to the variety of DSL products and service areas offered by Direct Network Access in Northern California.

DNAI was the leading provider to offer DSL, when connections via Pacific Bell became available in December 1997. DNAI is currently the only ISP giving DSL clients the option of choosing either of the two available carriers, Covad or Pacific Bell.

With the addition of Covad, DNAI increases its variety of DSL services. Options include: 144Kbps, 384Kbps, 1.1Mbps and asymmetrical 1.5Mbps/384Kbps (1.5M into the computer or network).

DNAI's offers DSL service in more Northern California areas than any other ISP. Covad serves a number of Bay Area communities outside of the current PacBell service area. In addition, the 144K service can reach customers more three miles from the carrier's Central Office (CO). The higher speed services are only available within the three mile radius.

It's time for FasTrak DSL.

FasTrak DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) is a new digital service developed by Pacific Bell that allows you to connect to the Internet, or to your company's LAN, at speeds up to 50 times faster than a 28.8 modem--over regular copper phone lines--right from your home, home office or small business.

When and where will FasTrak DSL be available?

DSL is available (as of 9/97) in selected Central Offices in Danville, San Ramon, San Jose, Burlingame, Los Altos, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Redwood City, Santa Clara and Sunnyvale.
