Dr Bob you will be much missed as a sober light to pull us "shills" (what is that word?) back from our zealous enthusiasm. Despite this though, I can't tell you how I believe your departure couldn't be at a more inopportune time. Then I remember how many such horizons of hope we have experienced with this stock. Overall though, the context of your departure is just as the never expected revenues arrive and prior to management "hopefully" pulling a whole series of bunnies from their hats and the stock starting to discount the new fonix situation. JHS is correct to point out that one needs to keep a perspective but errs by not realizing that his view is even more out of balance than my own, while you have been extremely disciplined and stable. We need that here and it has helped.

Don't think you can escape that easily.

Jerry,

Thanks for the kudos. However, I was not chased off this thread. In the first place, I can give as good as I get, and in the second, I truly have enjoyed the dialogue, so it is far from feeling unwanted/unneeded/unfulfilled, or any of that. It is, simply, that this takes a few minutes of my time every day, and I'm only willing to commit that to follow companies I think I might invest in sometime in the near future. FONX has slipped down, down, and is now off that list.

Parx, thanks for your kind words, too. As Jerry says, I was always willing to believe revenues would come, I just didn't think they would be sufficient to make this a high-flyer. Nothing I've seen in the past 2 months makes me think that's changed. And I find trying to understand a company whose management has a penchant for overstatement (that "human-computer interface leader" thing really bugs me, but it's far from the only example!) and for secrecy (no one is the whole world, inside or outside the company, has put a comparison of fonix's technology to the competition into writing and available to the public as far as I, or apparently, anyone here can tell) very frustrating. If I can't understand a company's product and how it compares to what's out there, I'm unlikely to invest in it. Most times I've done that in the past, I've gotten burned. I've missed a lot of excellent stocks, too, so I can't rule that out. If so, I'll be happy for you, Marc, Ed, Franco, and all.

Just too much to do in this world!

Bob
