Over the past few years I think Bob has really changed
his investment strategy away from managed funds. I am
also in agreement with him. One can't deny the outperformance
of index funds against the managed, not to mention some of
the tax consequences of annual disbursements. Look at the
Berger 100 fund,It had a poor performance last year and paid
around 33 percent in taxable gains. Thank god my holding was
in an IRA.
As far as playing the tech sector I'm considering the new
Merill Lynch 100. I believe this sector index is going to
trade in the AMEX under the symbol MLO.
I think my days of investing in managed funds is
coming to an end.
