Some Taylor Swift Fans Heading to ‘Eras Tour’ If she was doing a "Bare Ass Tour", I might buy a ticket.. :-) Seriously, Canada/US border crossing procedures have done a 180 flip over the years. In my younger long haired, hippie days, just flashing a US drivers license got me across the Canadian border, no problem. Coming back to the US meant a full search and grill job. After quite a long absence, about ten years ago I had to make several business trips driving up to BC from WA. First time, even with a US Passport, I got the full grill job from the Canadian border officials. Life history, marital history, driving record history, prior residential addresses, you name it. After about an hour of this, they let me in. Funny thing coming back, the US border guy just waved me through. When I went back up there a few weeks later, I must have been in their "already checked out" system and they waved me through.. Been a long time since I drove into Mexico, but those were quite entertaining experiences, especially crossing back into the US.. :-)
