I am looking at this largely in terms of December 1999. Market is running on fumes, FOMO, momentum, whatever you want to call it. When the music stops, a 50% hair cut is coming very quickly. There are a record ratio of insider sales to buys and the commercials are short SPX. Large caps are trading at the highest multiple in history. Of course, these are not short term timing indicators, but they do reveal where the next big move is headed.
