Maxwell - AMD is on the way back.

amd.com

"Our Integrated Technology Division and the Submicron Development Center delivered, on time, a manufacturable 0.35-micron technology, which is now being used in Fab 25 to produce every Windows-compatible microprocessor manufactured by AMD.

Our Fab 25 team brought AMD's first eight-inch wafer fab from groundbreaking in July of 1993 to initial production in just 22 months. Today, Fab 25 is a technical and manufacturing tour de force. It has attained yield levels and defect densities comparable to what one would expect only from a mature manufacturing facility--important achievements that will pay off as we begin a rapid production ramp of our fifth- and sixth-generation microprocessor offerings."

I like that - Fab 25 is a technical and manufacturing tour de force.

It has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

Jerry Sanders delivers such honest, earnest and encouraging descriptions of his and AMD's capabilities.

A lot has happened since Jerry gave this rah-rah speech.

Maxwell
I like this name for newly coming attraction from Intel :-)).
Is not it funny how intelopers were repeating Intels message that sub-$1000 computer demand does not exist just few months and now they are faithfully repeating that Intel is just about to create sub-$1000 pc way ahead of its competition with a state of the art chip :-))
