As of now, an estimated 760,000 RuZZians either died or got wounded in the war. Assuming a 2:1 wounded:dead ratio, that would lead to the following: Dead RuZZians: 253,000 Wounded RuZZians: 507,000 (ratio of 2:1 wounded:dead) The problem is that the casualty ratio between RuZZia and Ukraine is still below 2:1. It needs to be above 3:1 for Ukraine to outlast RuZZia in a war of attrition. I believe this is why Zelensky is revealing the numbers for the first time. The war is not going well for Ukraine, and there really is no hope for reclaiming any of the land that RuZZia took by force. Ukraine's forces are getting tired, while PooTin can continue feeding the meat grinder like a complete and utter madman. And there is little that the free world wants to do to reverse this tide. What about the hit to troop morale? I don't think that's much of an issue anymore. Ukraine's soldiers probably know by now what the situation is. Unlike RuZZians who live in alternate realities (until they get mowed down by enemy fire), it makes no sense to lie to the Ukrainian soldiers and give them hope based on a false premise. This is Zelensky's cry for help. Ukrainians are dying by the thousands, and the whole world needs to know. Even Trump needs to know. He has banked his reputation on his promise to "bring peace within 24 hours of negotiation." He may be a lot of things, but unlike the other PooTin cucks like Don Jr. or Moscow Qarlson, I don't think even he has the stomach to stand by and watch Ukrainians continue to die by the thousands under his watch.
