There are certainly ways to maintain a secret ballot that does not hide criminal acts or errors in processing.

But in the US we will hide the identifies of voters even as they brake the law to steal the election. Self defeating.

Tying votes back to the voter is a non-starter. Especially when fascists are coming to power.

Although I can understand why you think it is great. How else can you punish people for voting the wrong way?
