Re: Texas Instruments (TXN) 35xPE

I found this interesting:

Texas Instruments (TI) plans to significantly expand its internal manufacturing capacity to over 95% by 2030, and this growth will primarily occur in the United States.
  1. Investment Plans: TI has committed to investing over $18 billion through the end of the decade to construct new state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. This includes:
    • Two new 300mm fabs in Sherman, Texas: These facilities are expected to produce essential chips and are part of a larger plan to build four factories at this site.
    • One new 300mm fab in Lehi, Utah: This facility will also focus on producing analog and embedded processing chips.
  2. Production Capacity: The Sherman site is anticipated to have a production capacity of over one hundred million chips per day once fully operational. Each factory is projected to generate between $5 billion and $6 billion in revenue annually.
Never really looked at TXN. They have big plans to expand in the US next 5 years. Still appears expensive selling at 35x PE
