Bob, Stop reading my thoughts :-) I agree. I don't think it is a good idea for Informix to focus alot on the lower end EXCEPT for the issue you brought up. That is, having a strong product to complement their enterprise solution in an existing customer/prospect. Competing against MSFT on a head-to-head basis will kill IFMX. They can't afford it and they can't win it. Again, technology has nothing to do with it. BTW, I also think they need to narrow their focus on the server side. Bobf laid out 4 major types of solutions and 6 vertical markets and called that focus. I was hard pressed to see any application-type or industry they left out.......... Cheers
