It wasn't just to "get Trump." It was also to get all the other sexual predators out there who escaped justice thanks to the statute of limitations.

IF they were trying to get "sexual predators" why did it only stand for ONE YEAR? Have EVER heard of a temporary recission of a statute of limitations?

It is absurd. Hell, it was cooked up between George Conway and that horrible woman.

If you wanted to get sexual "predators" so badly, why not remove the statute altogether? Why would you do that for one year only?

Statutes of limitations exist for good reason. One of them is some woman may see a plot on a TV show and go, "Damn, I think I could use that to get Trump. After all, no one else was there, right????" They just walked away from the cash registered and left two people banging a dressing room. Happens all the time.
