Bob, I left one point out- when you send acid downhole to clean out a formation, it's actually called a "stimulation job". That is, you are cleaning out the face of the producing formation with acid in order to increase flow into the wellbore.

But in reality, the acid is often sent downhole in a mixture under pressure in order to fracture the formation too. Thus if you send acid downhole you are often doing a frac job and stimulation job at the same time....
