I think I know what you mean but in point of reference, there is some DNA there relating to past. In the 1970s Omega had a popular line known as the Flightmaster. You have to appreciate what a trying time the 1970s were for any watch company. Most went bankrupt. There are also Speedmasters that have more vibrant color patterns. Am hardly expert on their history but in terms of persistent brand DNA, maybe only the classic Speedmaster and then the Seamaster have consistent designs?

The Speedmaster has definitely veered off the straight and narrow this century in various excursions. More so recently in exotic case and dial materials. Some of them I actually like based on press photos and owner wrist-shots but very few have I personally worn and handled, unlike the white dial Speedmaster posted about here previously. On paper at least, as cool as the stats are, my instinct is often this is a 2-3mm thicker than what it should be if they tried a bit harder with the newer exotic versions.

That's why I'd consider buying some as used, LNIB at a healthy discount to list.
