Bonefish, it seems like the elimination of the Department of Education is being pushed more as a "proof of concept," rather than as a sizable impact on the $6.8T budget. "See? We can eliminate a federal government agency without the nation falling apart." The Department of Education is being targeted as low-hanging fruit, of course, since it seems to be nothing more than a check-writing machine for various special interests. Tenchusatsu
