DSL? I'll up you with this Cable modem article from the father of ethernet (PRB can correct me if that's wrong) himself, Bob Metcalfe. Things are starting to look a little better with DSL starting to roll out. Obviously as COMS shareholders we'll gain as those technologies get into the mainstream. I've noticed that COMS is not involved with all the early trial's etc, but have ho fear COMS will be here, to stay infoworld.com

I musta forgot to post this: Feb. 11, 1998 Pacific Bell Internet Offers DSL Internet Access Market Trial In conjunction with Pacific Bell's DSL market trial, Pacific Bell Internet customers in select areas of the San Francisco Bay Area can now access the Internet at speeds up to 1.5 Mbps over their existing phone line. Basic DSL Internet Access is available at speeds of either 384 Kbps upstream and downstream or 1.5 Mbps downstream and 384 Kbps upstream. The trial service is currently available to customers living in the following areas: Burlingame, Los Altos, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Redwood City, San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Danville and San Ramon.
