I’m also going to sell some in 2025, maybe 10% of my AAPL, to diversify (it’s my biggest stock by far) and to try to reduce my final capital gains tax if I or my estate eventually needs to sell a lot (or everything).

I might try to sell AAPL by writing call options. I’ll have a year to do this, ideally I could write the calls and they would expire unexercised and I do this several times before the stock gets sold. Easier said than done, and AAPL is not very volatile so there’s not a lot of option premium to collect.
