Larry:

I sold 500 shares of Asnd at 35 7/16 yesterday morning (still have lots left.) I would like to buy them back at lower prices.

Its funny that I am not able to trade ASND but only watching other people trading it. It's frustrating.

Jan

Are you starting to buy Adpt again ?
Adct was a good trade for me

P.S. Stepping into CIEN @ $42 seems very risky here. Don't forget how awesome
ASND looked @ $42 not all that long ago! Anyone follow CKFR......just caught my
interest.

Larry,

Your observation is true. However the problems with CIEN and ASND were entirley different. This post explains it well.

Been in since Oct/Nov. Great story. They're the e-billing leaders, behind Intuit, Integrion, and a long list of banks like Chase, Wells Fargo, Nations, to name a few. Also capturing the big utilities billers: RBOCs, power companies and so on.

<<Anyone lightening up @ $35 +? Awfully tempting to sell some here with intent to
repurchase lower. Or, the ASND for CPQ idea is a very good one, as is ASND
for CS or ADPT.>>

CPQ idea may be good, but definitely NOT CS! CS is on their
way to irrelevancy. They lost momentum, and have strong focused
competitors. Their technology is old. Hubs are dead. And
their connection-oriented Secure-fast-smart-stuff isn't well
suited for multicast traffic, nor intra-to-internet traffic.
The only thing they are acknowledged for is Spectrum network
management, but when the customer hasn't got a Cabletron network,
what use is it to him to manage it? They cannot cover end-to-end,
nor do they have the customer base to go up against Cisco,
Bay, and COMS in the Enterprise space. Ascend, meanwhile is
in the ISP/WAN space. They have a large installed base, and
the Cascade acquisition has strengthened their position. Cascade
has a following among the telcos, and Ascend has established
themselves with ISP. In networking, it is hard to unseat the
incumbent unless he screws up. Cabletron is not incumbent,
and does not have market-leading technology. IMHO trading
ASND for CS is not recommended.

Second Opinion (http://207.53.33.62/Weekly/Secop/ASND.asp?plan=N) put ASND a "STRONG BUY" at $35 1/2 level.

COMMENT

Moving Average Convergence/Divergence (MACD) indicates a BULLISH TREND
Chart pattern indicates a STRONG UPWARD TREND
Relative Strength is BULLISH
Up/Down volume pattern indicates that the stock is under ACCUMULATION
The 50 day MOVING AVERAGE is rising which is BULLISH
The 200 day MOVING AVERAGE is falling which is BEARISH
LOOK FOR SUPPORT AT 35.38

RECOMMENDATION

STOCK IS A STRONG BUY
