Reality What you say here about the situation in Germany was indeed the reality of the conditions that allowed the country to go off the rails of any expected civilized society. ........That reality was the cause. But it still took one sick individual to manipulate the society when he took one step after another to dismantle the check and balances - such as they were - to become supreme leader. Part of that manipulation of the people was the overhanded use of propaganda. The truth no longer mattered; what mattered was what was spoon fed to the people. IOW, the reality was changed. This subject started by Lane I think is fascinating. It is easy to think of science as being reality based. Or is it? The reality at one time is that the world was flat. We now have a kook in charge of health science who believes vaccines cause autism. And that Covid vaccines kill. What is reality here? What makes it through the pier reviewed process? ........Until the next best study comes out.
