>>the lower end looks attractive. Any good or bad experiences with this company?<<

I believe Power Spec is their house brand

I frequent three local retail computer outlets. Fry's, Comp USA and Micro Center. Of the three I prefer Micro Center. Nice clean store and fast checkout. They usually have better prices than Fry's or Comp USA.

Their low end computers look very attractive. $679 with a monitor!! This opens up the possibility of a computer for a lot more people. At the bottom end I would probably move to the Power Spec 2000 200MHz 2.1GB Harddrive 32MB RAM for $599!! (these are the ones that have Intel worried) I wouldn't buy this machine with expansion or upgrade in mind.

I think they look good up to the PII 233 at $1299.You are probably not looking at top of the line components.

If you can get two years out of the machine I think it is a deal.
