I am shocked at the teaching practices in schools today. I can't imagine parents not wanting to escape public schools.

That is funny, my grand kids have learned a great deal about everything, including existentialism for my 17 year old grand daughter who asked me for help!

I guess you learn what you go to learn.

My entire clan has made getting a good education job 1!! And we all support the public education system as being the best!!

In fact my whole clan pitched in to put the two grand kids in pre school, even though my kids could have done the teaching as one is a PHD atmospheric scientist, and the other a lawyer.

Education in on the menu in our houses 24/7!

My nephew (9) has never learned the Pledge of Allegiance, nor the National Anthem. He had not learned that America was founded in 1776.

He goes to public school in a state lauded for its public education.

Are our schools run by anti-Americans? How is this possible?

He also does not know about the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Founding Fathers… it's insane.

When I asked what American history he's learned, he says he's learned a lot about the native people. Basically nothing else.
