Thus the drop in RDRT shares friday (IMO). But this is at least the second PR release to impact markets at critical moments. Note that I've only been paying attention the last few months.

I agree that there is a lot of manipulation of share price in relation to options, but I doubt IBM is trying to move RDRT to make a gain. I always thought Lawrence Kam was the one doing that.

The key to IBM's threat as other have said, is that IBM is selling into RDRT's prime high margin market. Maxtor is a very large RDRT customer. If they buy more from IBM, that could be very bad.
