I dispute that. Others may be harmed by feeling sad that you were deprived of that but you're dead. If you can't feel the pain, you aren't in pain. The pain of losing that opportunity requires you to be aware that you have lost that opportunity and regret it. As for the rights of dead people , they are de minimis. As for a fetus, it has not yet gained the capacity to understand that it would have had rights that were taken away.
