Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Sets Price Target Of $11 DOW JONES NEWS SERVICE 02/20 =Metrocall Shrs -2: M. Stanley Sets Price Target Of 11 >MCLL NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Metrocall Inc. (MCLL) shares rose nearly 16% Friday following an announcement from Morgan Stanley Dean Witter that it resumed coverage of the company with a strong buy rating. Metrocall shares were recently up 7/8, or 15.6%, at 6 1/2 on Nasdaq volume of 722,000 shares. Average daily volume is 113,200. "We resumed coverage (of Metrocall) at strong buy with an $11 price target," said analyst Colette Fleming at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Metrocall, of Alexandria, Va., is a provider of paging and messaging services. "We've seen strength coming into the sector in the past couple of months," said Frank Murphy, of Wheat First Union, who added that Friday's strength in the stock was clearly a result of the Morgan Stanley Dean Witter rating. On Wednesday, Metrocall said it successfully implemented a new financial accounting management information system and completed an upgrade of its CRM V5.20A billing system. A Metrocall spokesman also said Friday's stock strength was the likely result of the Morgan Stanley Dean Witter rating.
